Parliament approves Srem-Sai, Nyarko Ampem, Brogya Genfi, and others as Deputy Ministers

Parliament has approved the nomination of Lydia Lamisi Akanvariba as the Minister of State for Public Sector Reforms, along with 13 Deputy Ministerial nominees after their successful vetting by the Appointments Committee.

Among the approved Deputy Ministers are:

Justice Srem-Sai – Deputy Minister for the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General

Ernest Brogya Genfi – Deputy Minister for Defence

Thomas Nyarko Ampem – Deputy Minister for Finance

Other appointees include:

Alhassan Suhuyini – Deputy Minister for Roads and Highways

John Dumelo – Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture

Dr. Clement Apaak – Deputy Minister for Education

Sampson Ahi – Deputy Minister for Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry

Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi – Deputy Minister for the Interior

Richard Gyan-Mensah – Deputy Minister for Energy and Green Transition

This approval marks a key step in strengthening the government’s administrative team to drive development and reform initiatives across various sectors.

Their approval came after the adoption of the twelfth and thirteenth reports of the Appointments Committee.

The nominees underwent vetting by the Appointments Committee on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, and were subsequently recommended for approval by the House.
