Parliament has officially initiated the registration process for Members of Parliament-elect for the upcoming 9th Parliament of the 4th Republic.
A statement released on December 24 confirmed that the registration will begin with an online phase starting on Wednesday, December 25, 2024.
This will be followed by an in-person registration exercise from January 2 to January 6, 2025.
“Targeted messages inviting members will be sent via WhatsApp or email. Physical registration will begin on Thursday, January 2, 2025, and end on January 6, 2025,” the statement noted.
“Members who may need further clarifications or assistance may contact the officers in charge of the registration exercise on telephone number 055 022 2200 or 0503634466,” portions of the statement stated.
The registration process is a key step in preparing for the swearing-in of the new Parliament.
