The Petroleum Commission of Ghana has urged small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to prioritize forming alliances and partnerships as a key strategy for growth and success.

Dr. Edward Appiah-Brafoh, the Commission’s Manager for Corporate Affairs, highlighted the importance of collaboration during an interview on the Citi Breakfast Show.

Dr. Appiah Brafoh noted that many SMEs often overlook the value of partnerships, which can bring together financing, expertise, and resources to significantly enhance business outcomes.

He encouraged local businesses to participate in the upcoming “This is Ghana Exhibition,” organised by Channel One TV/Citi FM, scheduled for August 31 and September 1, 2024, at the forecourt of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly.

The two-day event will feature over 300 exhibitors showcasing made-in-Ghana products and services.

The exhibition aims to promote indigenous product packaging, showcase local industry innovations, and boost the patronage of Ghanaian products.

A seminar focused on “Digital Sales and Marketing to Increase Revenue” will also be held on August 31 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Dr. Appiah-Brafoh invited all SMEs and local businesses to attend the seminar and exhibition, emphasising the critical role of alliances and partnerships in driving business success.

“We would want to throw an invitation to the entire Ghana, SMEs, and local businesses, they should all come and participate in this seminar and exhibition we’ll be doing with Citi.

“One of the things we would want to encourage local businesses is that they must learn to form alliances and partnerships. So we’ll encourage them on how to do that during the Seminar,” Dr. Brafoh said.

Other seminars planned for the two-day event include, “Managing Your Finances/Accounts,” which will be held from 11 am to 1 pm on Saturday, August 31, and “Packaging Your Product for the Export Market,” from 11 am to 1 pm on September 1.

The seminar attracts a fee of GHC200. Place a call to 0205973973 to register.
