Angry Ghanaian fans decided to express their grievance in a more physical way, by assaulting a team of referees.
As gathered by GhanaTalksRadio, this event occurred in the afternoon of Sunday, March 28, 2021, during a Division One League match-week 14 game.
After Wanamafo Mighty Royals’ game against Bofoakwa Tano ended in a goalless draw, the angry fans of the home side stormed the pitch and beat the living daylight out of the officials, leaving the center referee, Niatire Suntuo Aziz without most of his teeth.
According to sources, this was caused by the fans’ dissatisfaction with the performance of the referee and decided to deal with them in the best way they could.
