The New Patriotic Party’s Presidential Candidate, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, stated that the police have been equipped with the necessary tools to perform their duties effectively.

He highlighted that the government has so far provided 630 new housing units in Accra, 720 new vehicles, 5,150 motorcycles, two new regional police headquarters, four ultra-modern brick police stations, and added eight new police regions, increasing the total to 25.
“As we approach the December 7 elections, I am confident that, as in the past, the Ghana Police Service will demonstrate their professionalism, working alongside the Electoral Commission to conduct a peaceful, incident-free election,” Dr. Bawumia shared in a Facebook post.
This followed his role as the Reviewing Officer for the 53rd Graduation Ceremony of the National Police Academy and Training School in Tesano, Accra, on October 30.
He also congratulated the newly commissioned senior police officers, encouraging them to make Ghana proud.
Dr. Bawumia expressed his assurance that the police are well-prepared to ensure safe and incident-free elections this year.
Dr. Bawumia further noted that the Ghana Police Service has undergone significant re-orientation and reform, with enhanced training quality and government support meeting the logistical and infrastructure needs of the Service.
