The Ghana Police Service has made a significant arrest in the Northern Region, apprehending Imarana Abdulai Gomda in Tamale for unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition.
The suspect was taken into custody at the Datoyili barrier on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, following a successful operation by the police.
A search of the suspect revealed a cache of weapons, including two SMG rifles, six rounds of 9MM ammunition, and two empty magazines.
The police have confirmed that the suspect is currently in custody, where he is assisting with investigations into the illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
