The Ghana Police Service has deployed additional personnel to address the rising incidents of post-electoral violence.
This move comes in response to reports of National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters allegedly involved in the vandalism of state properties following the December 7 elections.

More than 100 individuals, suspected to be NDC affiliates, have been arrested for looting and damaging property at various state institutions.
Affected locations include the Ghana National Gas Company Limited (GNGCL) headquarters in Accra, the Forestry Commission depot in Achimota, the Bono Regional Forestry Commission offices, and the headquarters of Metro Mass Transit Limited.
However, personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces successfully thwarted an attempted takeover of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA).

The National Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), George Opare Addo, popularly known as Pablo, has refuted allegations that the party sanctioned its members to attack state facilities and destroy public property.
Speaking on Point Blank, a segment on Eyewitness News, on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, Pablo categorically dismissed the claims, emphasising the NDC’s commitment to the rule of law and democratic principles.
