The Kwesimintsim District Police Command in the Western Region has arrested a man, identified as Anthony Acquah, for allegedly murdering his 17-year-old brother, Francis Mensah, at Mampong-Pepease, a suburb of Sekondi.
The incident, which occurred on August 16, 2025, reportedly followed a heated misunderstanding between the siblings. Police say Acquah stabbed his younger brother around 6:00 p.m. before fleeing the scene.
A statement issued by the police on Thursday, August 21, revealed that intelligence-led operations led to Acquah’s arrest on Wednesday, August 20, at his hideout in Kojokrom, near Sekondi.
The suspect is currently in police custody and assisting with investigations.
