Police service applauds NDC and NPP for conducting peaceful rallies

The Ghana Police Service has lauded the New Patriotic Party (NPP), the National Democratic Congress (NDC), and their supporters for their outstanding cooperation before and during the final rallies in Accra on December 5, 2024.

In a statement, the Police Service emphasized that the successful and peaceful conclusion of these events reflects the shared commitment of all involved in upholding Ghana’s democratic values.

The Police also extended their gratitude to the public, especially motorists, for their patience and understanding amid the road diversions and blockages implemented to manage traffic during the rallies.

Furthermore, the Police Administration expressed appreciation for the dedication and professionalism displayed by officers who were deployed to ensure law, order, peace, and security throughout the events.

Their efforts were instrumental in creating a safe environment for all participants.

As the nation prepares for the general elections tomorrow, 7th December 2024, the Police have urged political parties, their supporters, and all stakeholders to maintain the same level of discipline, unity, and patriotism.

“Let us work together to ensure a peaceful election that reflects the democratic values we cherish as Ghanaians,” the Police statement emphasized.
