Brazilian singer Darlyn Morais, dies at the age of 28 years old, after a spider bite to his face. Mr. Morais initially experienced body fatigue and developed a dark bruise on his face.
Morais became ill on October 31, after being bitten by a spider at his home in the northeastern city of Miranorte.
According to Morais’ wife, Jhullyenny Lisboa, his 18-year-old stepdaughter, was also bitten by a spider and is currently hospitalized in stable condition
Morais developed allergic reactions later during the week and visited a hospital in Miranorte, where he was treated and discharged Friday.
“He felt weakness in his body and his face started to darken on the same day (October 31),’ Lisboa said. ‘He went to the hospital and was admitted to Palmas General Hospital this Sunday.”
After the treatment, he was discharged on Friday, November 3. However, his condition did not improve and he was admitted to Palmas General Hospital on Sunday. Unfortunately, the doctors could not save the singer and declared him dead on Monday.
Morais started his journey into the music world at the age of 15 and sang forró, a popular genre of music in Brazil’s northeast region that is based on a combination of the accordion, zabumba, and metal triangle. His small, three-man band included his brother and a friend.
