The Office of the President has dismissed allegations that Chief Superintendent Ibrahim Opoku, Head of the VVIP Unit, is involved in a land dispute with Ghana International School (GIS) in Accra.
This follows reports of individuals attempting to deliver construction materials to part of the school’s premises, claiming that the land had been sold.

The school alerted the Cantonments Police, who, along with the school’s security, intervened and halted the attempts.
Eugene Arhin, Director of Communications at the Office of the President, clarified in a statement that the presidency has no interest in the contested land.
“The office of the president does not have any interest whatsoever in the piece of land in question,” part of the statement noted.
It continued ” No officer, agent or assign has been directed to secure and/or interfere in any matter pertaining to GIS land within Cantonment.”
