President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was booed whiles on stage at the Global Citizen Festival held at the Black Star Square in Accra last night.
Thousands of patrons were at the venue to witness the Global Citizen Festival which had a number of local and international artistes performing. When it was the turn of the President to make his presentation, a section of the crowd began clapping and chanting “away, away”.
According to a tweet sighted by, GhanaTalksRadio by the handle, a tweep mentioned that the reason for booing is as a result of the hardship brought upon Ghanaians by the current president’s administration. The tweet goes:
“As I was booing at Nana Addo some stupid girl, of a girl, girl girl said I should be disappointed disappointed in myself! What I did to her! I’m so pained @gambi_know had to cut the video short! Meanwhile u are suffering. Back to regular setting – shame on the president of Ghana”
There has generated alot of talking point on social media with some for the president and others against the booing. As at the time of filing this report, the presidency is yet to make any comment about the incident.
