Independent Presidential Candidate Nana Kwame Bediako has claimed that the recent demonstrations organized by the Democracy Hub were instigated by a major political party.

“All the protests and demonstrations that have taken place in this country over the past year or two were orchestrated by one of the duopoly,” he asserted.
Bediako reiterated his opposition to violent actions, expressing his commitment to peace in the nation.
“I don’t support the youth protesting because I want peace in the country. If the youth of this country and its citizens have endured 32 to 40 years of political challenges and crises and have managed to survive, why would they resort to violence to express their frustrations?” Bediako questioned.
He further alleged that protests like Occupy Julorbi House and Fix The Country, which occurred in the past year or two, were instigated by either the New Patriotic Party (NPP) or the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
“We cannot do this to ourselves and destroy our own country for the personal or party interests of politicians,” he remarked.
Bediako urged the public to investigate the individuals and organizations behind these demonstrations, alleging that some protest organizers have faced treason charges.
“Ghana, do your research. Some of the individuals leading these demonstrations have treason charges. Inquire about who sponsored their mobilization and other activities. This is not about galamsey; it’s about political interests,” he added.
