Prince William, the Prince of Wales, met with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa on Tuesday at the Presidentās official residence in Cape Town.
Earlier, Prince William had taken a nature walk with park rangers and conservationists at Table Mountain National Park, learning more about local wildlife and conservation efforts.

Prince William is in South Africa for four days to attend the annual Earthshot Prize awards, an event he started in 2020.
The Earthshot Prize is given to people and projects working on climate change solutions and other environmental issues, with five winners each receiving £1 million (about $1.3 million) to support their work.
This yearās ceremony will be held on Wednesday, and William will also take part in a global wildlife summit and other activities focused on protecting the environment.

A video shared by President Ramaphosaās office showed the Prince and President shaking hands and exchanging greetings as they began their meeting.
The South African presidency later released a statement, saying that Williamās visit shows the close connection between the United Kingdom, especially the Royal Family, and South Africa.
The statement also mentioned that hosting the Earthshot Prize in South Africa brings attention to the effects of climate change and environmental damage in Africa, issues that are deeply important to the country.
