On Thursday, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the NDC’s running mate, will tour three major markets in Accra: Mallam Atta, Kaneshie, and Makola.
She plans to meet with market women, traders, shop attendants, and others to discuss the NDC’s policies on women’s financial empowerment, including the proposed Women’s Development Bank.
Around one million women working in businesses like food selling, market trading, baking, hairdressing, and dressmaking are expected to get loans with easy repayment options.
