Prophet Amoako Attah, founder of Lord’s Parliament Chapel International, has challenged Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia to take the lead in completing the National Cathedral of Ghana project.

Speaking at an event in Accra, Attah emphasized the significance of a Muslim President dedicating a major Christian place of worship, drawing parallels with King Herod’s construction of the Temple in Israel.

Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), acknowledged the importance of the project, highlighting his personal contributions to the National Cathedral.

He stressed the need for collaboration between the church and government to complete the project, suggesting that private sector resources should be explored to support its completion.

“The National Cathedral is a vital project for Ghana, and I believe we must work together to see it through,” Bawumia said.

“The church and government must come together to determine the best way forward, and we should also consider how we can tap into private resources to complete the Cathedral.”

By working together, Bawumia believes that the National Cathedral can become a symbol of unity and progress for Ghana.
