The Public Services Workers Union (PSWU) has announced a nationwide strike starting on Monday, October 21, 2024, due to the Ministry of Finance’s failure to pay members’ allowances under the Single Spine Salary Structure.
If the strike proceeds, critical services, including activities of the Electoral Commission, are expected to be disrupted.
Union leadership expressed dissatisfaction, stating that members have been unfairly treated for over a decade since the Single Spine pay policy was implemented.
