Gideon Fosu, Chairman of the Management Committee for Ghana’s Black Princesses, has told Citi News that the team’s qualifying bonuses have been fully paid before they head to the Under-20 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Colombia.

The players were originally promised $6,000 each for their performance in the qualifiers but received $4,500 each instead.
The payment was made just in time as the Black Princesses get ready for the World Cup, which starts on August 31.

“That has been settled and we would like to say thank you to the ministry. I think the minister did very well. We had a couple of conversations.
The FA president also had to chip in a word or two, and that had been paid. Thankfully, the girls and the technical team are okay. We are going into this tournament in high spirits,” he stated.
