A raging fire has broken out at Madina Ritz Junction in Accra, engulfing multiple wooden structures and triggering an emergency response from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).

The GNFS, in a post on its official Facebook page on Tuesday, July 15, confirmed that three fire engines from the Madina, Legon, and Abelemkpe fire stations have been deployed to the scene to battle the flames.

“Rigorous firefighting operations are currently underway,” the post stated, as personnel on the ground tirelessly work to bring the blaze under control.

The cause of the fire is yet to be established, and there have been no immediate reports of casualties. The fire, which involves densely packed wooden structures, poses a high risk of rapid spread, prompting the urgent response.

“Trust your gallant firefighters to swiftly work hard to bring the situation under control,” the GNFS assured.
