Real Madrid is confronting a tough situation as they prepare for their LaLiga Clasico showdown against Barcelona, with goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and forward Rodrygo both sidelined due to leg muscle injuries sustained during their recent 5-2 win over Borussia Dortmund.

The club has confirmed that Courtois is dealing with a muscle strain in his left adductor, reminiscent of a similar injury he suffered in last month’s LaLiga derby against Atletico Madrid.
Rodrygo is scheduled for an MRI scan on Thursday to assess the severity of his injury, although there is cautious optimism that it may be minor and that he could be available for next week’s match against Valencia.
Adding to their injury concerns, Real Madrid will also be without captain Dani Carvajal and defender David Alaba, both of whom are recovering from ACL tears.
On a positive note, Morocco midfielder Brahim Diaz has returned to training after a month-long absence due to a leg injury and could be fit to feature against Barcelona.
