Real Madrid’s upcoming La Liga match against Valencia has been postponed in light of devastating flash floods that have recently impacted Spain.

The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) made the announcement, stating that all matches in the Valencia region are affected due to the severe weather conditions that have resulted in at least 95 fatalities and numerous missing persons.

This decision also affects several other matches, including Villarreal’s game against Rayo Vallecano and three Segunda Division fixtures.
The women’s top flight, Liga F, has also seen the postponement of Valencia’s match against Deportivo La Coruna and Real Madrid’s clash with Levante.
The RFEF’s decision followed requests from La Liga, Liga F, and the affected clubs, highlighting the gravity of the situation.
Additionally, a minute of silence will be observed during this weekend’s games to honor the victims of the floods, reflecting the solidarity of Spanish football with those impacted.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has declared three days of national mourning in response to this tragedy.
