Yaw Buaben Asamoa, spokesperson for independent presidential candidate Alan Kyermaten, has called on labour unions to withdraw their planned strike over the sale of hotels owned by the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT).

This request follows the SSNIT management’s decision to cancel the sale.
“I want to call on the workers to pause on the strike. If the threat of strike has caused the strategic investor to review its position then there must be a way forward,” he stated on the Key Points on TV3 Saturday July 13.
Professor Ransford Gyampo of the University of Ghana remarked that it was heartening to see Agriculture Minister Bryan Acheampong withdraw from purchasing the hotels. In his opinion, this was the most significant outcome Ghanaians were anticipating.
“What is heartwarming is that the man himself has pulled out of the deal. the most important thing is that he is not going to buy it again,” he said on the Key Points on TV3 on Saturday, July 13.
