Actress Yvonne Nelson has revealed that releasing her book, I Am Not Yvonne Nelson, was a deeply therapeutic experience for her.

She described the process of creating the book as an incredible journey that took years.
Nelson noted that everyone has personal struggles and unspoken challenges, and sharing her own experiences through the book served as a form of therapy.
She made these comments during the graduation ceremony of her school, The Yvonne Nelson International School.
“It’s been a wonderful ride. It was something that I was working on for the longest time. That is what people don’t know, and they thought I woke up one day and used a week to write a book.

“We all have difficulties in our lives and things that we don’t talk to anybody about, and it’s been a big therapy for me to release the book.
There is so much more I will want to share, but let’s see what happens,” she said in an interview on Thursday, July 31.
In her memoir, I Am Not Yvonne Nelson, Yvonne Nelson reveals that she does not know who her biological father is, and the man she believed to be her father was not her biological parent.
The book details her childhood, the hardships she endured, and her past relationship with rapper Sarkodie.
Its provocative revelations have sparked significant discussion and stirred public interest.
