Republic Bank Ghana appoints Venus Francis Frith as Chief Operating Officer

Republic Bank (Ghana) PLC has appointed Venus Francis Frith as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective December 20, 2024, following approval from the Bank of Ghana.

In his role, Mr. Frith will oversee key areas such as Republic Trust, Corporate Banking, Custody, and International Trade Services, providing vital support to the Managing Director and assuming oversight responsibilities in his absence.

Profile of Venus Frith

With over two decades of banking experience, Mr. Frith has made significant strides within Republic Bank Limited in Trinidad & Tobago since 2000, progressing from apprenticeship to a General Manager role. Before his appointment in Ghana, he served as the General Manager of Credit at Republic Bank (Guyana) Limited.

Mr. Frith has expertise across several banking sectors, including Operations, Retail Lending, Commercial/Corporate Lending, Risk Management, and Investment Banking. He holds a BSc. in Banking & Finance and an MSc. in International Finance.

Commenting on his appointment, Republic Bank Ghana’s Managing Director, Benjamin Dzoboku, expressed confidence in Mr. Frith’s ability to contribute to the bank’s 5-year strategy, Republic Verse. He welcomed Mr. Frith on behalf of the Board of Directors, Management, and Staff, assuring full support for his role.

Mr. Venus Frith expressed his eagerness about his appointment and commitment to working with the Republic Bank Ghana team to achieve excellence in the Ghanaian Banking landscape.
