Residents of Anyaa School Junction in the Ga South Municipality protested on Thursday morning over non-functioning traffic lights, which they say are causing dangerous traffic conditions and leading to accidents.
They reported that the traffic lights have been out of order for nearly three years.
The protest was sparked by a tragic incident on Wednesday, July 31, when two pedestrians were hit by speeding vehicles at the intersection.
The residents argue that the broken traffic lights have made the area hazardous for both drivers and pedestrians, increasing the risk of accidents.
