Ghanaian goalkeeper Richard Ofori is set to join South African club AmaZulu FC on a free transfer.

The 30-year-old is scheduled to undergo a medical in Durban before finalizing his move, marking a new chapter in his career within South African football.
Ofori, who was released by Orlando Pirates at the conclusion of the 2023/24 season, brings a wealth of experience to AmaZulu’s goalkeeping lineup.
He has previously played for both Maritzburg United and Pirates, where he won three MTN8 trophies and two Nedbank Cups, establishing himself as a key player in the league.
His arrival at AmaZulu will create healthy competition for the starting goalkeeper position, as Ofori is expected to challenge Bafana Bafana’s Veli Mothwa, along with Olwethu Mzimela and Andile Mbajwa.
This addition enhances the squad’s depth as the team prepares for the upcoming 2024-25 season.
Ofori’s last appearance for the Ghana national team was during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, and his signing is anticipated to strengthen AmaZulu’s aspirations in the South African Premier League.
