The Vice Presidential candidate of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Kwabena Agyeman Appiah Kubi, known as Roman Fada, has expressed his readiness to become the party’s flagbearer if legally permitted.

In an interview on Angel FM in Accra, Roman Fada confirmed the passing of GFP’s founder and flagbearer, Madam Akua Donkor.
He recounted that she fell ill on Saturday and was initially treated at the Nsawam Government Hospital before being discharged.
Unfortunately, her condition deteriorated on Sunday, leading to her transfer to the Greater Accra Regional Hospital (Ridge), where she passed away at 10 p.m. on Monday.
Roman Fada stated, “If the law says I should be the flagbearer, why not… I am ready to take up the mantle.”
He also highlighted his background in the entertainment industry, expressing hope for the support of his colleagues if he assumes the flagbearer role.
The Ghana Freedom Party is expected to issue an official statement regarding Akua Donkor’s passing and its future plans.
