Mohamed Salah has expressed his disappointment with Liverpool’s management, revealing that he has yet to receive any contract offers to extend his stay at the club. With his current deal set to expire at the end of the season, the Egyptian forward admitted he feels “more out than in.”

Speaking after Liverpool’s victory over Southampton, Salah said, “We are almost in December, and I haven’t received any offers yet to stay at the club. I’m probably more out than in. There is no club like this, but in the end, it is not in my hands.”

Salah also acknowledged his deep connection with Liverpool’s fans, saying, “I love the fans, and the fans love me, but it’s not in my hands or theirs.”

When asked about his feelings regarding the lack of progress on a new deal, Salah admitted, “Of course, I’m disappointed. I’m focusing on the season, trying to win the Premier League and Champions League. I’ll continue playing at the top level for as long as possible.”

Despite Liverpool reportedly initiating contact with Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas, the 32-year-old hinted at dissatisfaction with the situation. This marks a rare occasion where Salah directly addressed contract matters, signaling his intent to share his frustrations publicly.

The prolific winger, who joined Liverpool from Roma in 2017, has been pivotal to the team’s success, amassing 223 goals in 367 appearances.

This season, Salah has already scored 12 goals and provided 10 assists, maintaining his status as Liverpool’s top performer.

With the January transfer window approaching, Salah will be eligible to sign a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs.

Meanwhile, other Liverpool stars, including Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, also face uncertain futures as their contracts run down.

Quizzed on his uncertain future in September, Salah said: ‘Nobody in the club talked to me yet about contracts so I was just like: “OK, I play my last season and see at the end of the season.”‘

As reported by Mail Sport, Liverpool turned down a lucrative £150million bid from Saudi outfit Al-Ittihad in 2023 – but Salah remains tight-lipped on the interest.

‘I don’t want to speak about that. I am focused on the team now,’ he said.

Speaking at the start of a crucial week that sees the Reds host Real Madrid in the Champions League and Manchester City in the top-flight, Salah added: ‘We were not at our best [at St Mary’s] but it’s an important win.

‘After the other international breaks, we struggled against Forest and Chelsea. I’m glad that we managed to win after being 2-1 down.

‘I’m just playing my game, trying to chill and relax and just play. The whole team has the chemistry now with the new manager. Hopefully, we keep winning and win something in the end.’
