Salaam Mustapha, the National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has vehemently criticized the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for its proposed 24-hour economy policy, labeling it as “senseless” and devoid of any “sensible explanation,” even going so far as to refer to it as a “silly joke.”

In an interview with Umaru Sanda Amadu on Citi FM’s Eyewitness News on Thursday, which focused on the issue of youth unemployment, Mustapha highlighted the gravity of the unemployment crisis.

He emphasized the need for practical and impactful solutions instead of what he perceives as superficial measures.

“Addressing the unemployment problem is a serious matter that goes beyond jokes and patronizing people,” Mustapha stated.

He called for a more pragmatic approach to tackling the challenges faced by the youth in the country, stressing the importance of engaging them meaningfully.

“Let’s not patronise the young people in this country. It is a very serious matter…Let’s be more practical in how we solve the problems,” he stated.
