The Ghana Highways Authority has announced that maintenance work on the expansion joints of the Atomic Bridge is set to begin on Thursday, October 3, 2024.
This repair project is anticipated to continue until Tuesday, October 22, 2024, with the primary goal of ensuring the bridge’s structural integrity and enhancing safety for all users.

The Authority has advised motorists to remain vigilant and comply with the instructions provided by traffic management personnel at the site.
“As a result, there would be traffic interruptions. Motorists are advised to adhere to the traffic management systems to be put in place by the team of engineers from our bridge Maintenance Unit of the Ghana Highway Authority as they work on the overpass.
“Motorists are also advised to use alternative routes if possible. Our team of engineers will start work on Thursday the 3 October 2024 and end on Tuesday, the 22nd October 2024 from 08:00 p.m. to 06:00 a.m. daily.
