There’s a proverb that goes, “every day is for the thief, one day is for the owner”. This is the situation with a motorbike thief who goes by the name Michael Prince Amuzu.
According to two of his victims, Michael’s modi operandi is to apply for a job with a courier company after which he disappears with the motorbike.
When confronted, he would concoct different stories until victims become weary, after which they would then give up chasing him. In one instance, he got a family member to send a message advising that he was involved in an accident hence he was unable to return the motorbike.
Thieves can be pretty blatant, but we’ve never seen a move this bold.
Luck however, ran out on him when his latest victim decided to take the matter into her own hands and posted Michael’s license information as well as pictures on twitter and classified website with reward for any information that would lead to his arrest.
Fast forward, two days later, Michael has been caught and taken to the police station where he would be charged with theft. As of the time of fling this report, more victims are coming forward.
It sure doesn’t pay to do crime!
