The 2024 presidential candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has urged party members to stay exceptionally vigilant and closely monitor all election-related activities.

He emphasized the importance of preventing any potential schemes aimed at rigging the upcoming December 7 presidential and parliamentary elections. Speaking to party officials, former appointees, MPs, and supporters during his 2-day #BuildingGhanaTour in the Volta region.

Mahama highlighted the governing party’s deceptive branding expertise and their inclination to resort to election rigging as an alternative to mask their subpar performance under President Nana Akufo-Addo.

“The NPP is still the same as we have known.the only way to kick them out is to be vigilant to ensure every single ballot counts”’ he advised.

The ex-president, warmly received by the communities he visited in the NDC’s stronghold, emphasized the need for the party to meticulously select and train polling station agents responsible for overseeing the ballot on the election day.

He specifically called on Members of Parliament (MPs) to actively engage in and closely monitor all electoral processes and associated activities within their constituencies and the broader region.
