Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso, Dr. Stephen Amoah, has awarded scholarships to 165 students from his constituency to ease their financial burden and support their academic pursuits.
The presentation ceremony took place on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the State Experimental School in Kumasi. Beneficiaries were drawn from leading institutions including the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED), Garden City University College, University of Ghana, as well as other tertiary schools across the country.

Addressing the media after the event, Dr. Amoah reiterated his commitment to human capital development, stressing that financial constraints should not hinder brilliant students from achieving their dreams.
“My main focus is on the Human Development Index, ensuring that we develop human resources in the constituency. Once one has the ability, they can perform any task in this world to survive economically,” he explained.

He further clarified that the scholarship programme is open to all students, irrespective of political background.
“The scholarship is not party-specific. It is based purely on need and merit. Although many applicants are NPP members, we do not select beneficiaries based on political affiliation. We don’t consider social status or appearance; our only concern is to provide adequate support for students in tertiary institutions,” he said.
Dr. Amoah assured constituents that he will continue to invest in education as a tool for empowerment and long-term development.
