Nana Adwoa Por Dwamena, the Queen Mother of Bechem in the Ahafo Region, has urged Ghanaians to back Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, in the upcoming elections, highlighting his capacity to drive national development.
Speaking at a stakeholder engagement with the Vice President on Friday, November 1, she encouraged voters to elect a leader who follows through on promises, voicing her confidence in Dr. Bawumia’s dedication to Ghana’s advancement.
“I plead with Ghanaians to focus on what is good for us. Let us look for someone who does what he promises. Let’s put Ghana first because if we do, it will help our future generation.
“We shouldn’t allow for a retrogression rather we should move forward. Let’s give Dr Mahamudu Bawumia the chance to continue what has been started and also try him out.
“He has tried his best and we believe he will continue when we give him the chance. So, I plead with you all, Ghanaians, Bechem, and Ahafo, to vote wisely.
“We as traditional leaders should to supposed to engage in open politics but some of us have seen his works and we know that when he is voted for Ghana will progress,” she said.
