The Tamale High Court, led by Justice Richard Kogyapwah, has annulled the January 27th NPP primary in Walewale between Lariba Zuweira Abudu (plaintiff) and Dr. Tiah Abdul-Kabiru Mahama, along with the Electoral Commission (defendants), and has ordered a rerun.

Hajia Lariba Abudu, the incumbent MP for Walewale Constituency, contested the election results that declared Dr. Kabiru Tia as the winner.

Additionally, the court has imposed a GHC30,000 fine on Dr. Kabiru Tia.

The court is expected to release detailed information about the ruling on September 12, 2024.
