Mussa Dankwa, Executive Secretary of Global InfoAnalytics, emphasized that the 2024 general elections will center on the flagbearers of the parties, rather than their running mates.

In his opinion, the running mates will not play a significant role in determining their parties’ success in the elections.
“This election is about the flagbearers, not the running mates,” he said on TV3 on Saturday, July 27, during the coverage of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) 2024 campaign launch.
“Running mates won’t make a difference in this election,” he emphasized.
At the campaign launch, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, a member of the NDC’s manifesto committee, outlined the party’s goal to secure 14 of the 18 seats in the Northern Region.
He noted that, although the Volta Region is a traditional stronghold for the NDC, it is the Northern Region that fuels the party’s momentum.
He told TV3’s Mawuena Egbeta in Tamale, during the campaign launch, that “Our aim is to secure 14 out of the 18 seats in the Northern Region in 2024.”
He also took aim at President Akufo-Addo, accusing him of economic mismanagement and asserting that this will drive voters to support the NDC.
“People have seen the abysmal performance every single sector of the economy is in a mess so the people have through,” he said.
