Asamoah Gyan, Ghana’s all-time leading goal scorer, has unveiled a groundbreaking initiative aimed at revolutionizing the country’s sports landscape.
The legendary footballer is spearheading the All Regional Games, a comprehensive program designed to unearth talents across nine sports disciplines, including para-sports.
The initiative’s scope is unprecedented, encompassing football, athletics, volleyball, basketball, tennis, table tennis, boxing, e-sports, and arm-wrestling.
Each of Ghana’s 16 regions will conduct trials to select their finest athletes, who will then compete against their counterparts from other regions.
In an interview on the Asaase Breakfast Show, Gyan shared his vision for a holistic sports development ecosystem in Ghana, transcending his iconic status in football.
“My passion is to contribute to the growth of sports in Ghana, beyond just football,” he emphasized.
