In a message commemorating International Youth Day 2025, themed “Voice to Impact: Youth Building Sustainable and Inclusive Futures,” Ms. Ansei emphasized that young people remain a crucial force in the nation’s development.
She cautioned against the destructive impact of drug abuse, highlighting it as a significant barrier to the youth’s potential and a hindrance to collective national advancement.
Ms. Ansei encouraged young Ghanaians to protect their futures by honing skills and competencies that will enable their meaningful participation in the economy, particularly through the growth and development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Recognizing the indispensable role of youth in promoting MSMEs and broader national development, she stressed the importance of maintaining focus, empowerment, and dedication to shaping a prosperous future for Ghana.
This call aligns with Ghana’s ongoing commitment to youth inclusion in economic policymaking, where entrepreneurship, innovation, and skills development are key drivers for sustainable and long-term growth. International Youth Day, observed annually on August 12, serves to spotlight the vital role of young people in sustainable development while addressing the global challenges
