The Ministry of Works and Housing has received five bids for completing over 1,500 unfinished units of the Saglemi Housing Project.

These bids are pending evaluation by an independent entity, which will be selected with assistance from the Public Procurement Authority on Wednesday.

Sector Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah stated that the independent evaluation entity, chosen from four pre-qualified organizations, will review the bids and submit a report as part of the government’s transparent process to secure a partner for the project.

Mr. Oppong Nkrumah informed the media that the selected accounting firm would present its evaluation report within seven days, after which the preferred bidder will be chosen to complete the project.

“We have received five bids. From today, we have requested the Public Procurement Authority to help us select an independent evaluation entity.

I understand that four organizations have been pre-qualified by the Public Procurement Authority, from which we will select one.

On Wednesday, we will select the independent evaluation entity and hand over the bids.

According to our work program, we expect to receive the evaluation report within seven days, which will identify the preferred bidder,” Mr. Oppong Nkrumah stated.
