Ankaara Sakara, the New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary candidate for the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency in the Savannah region, has committed to addressing unemployment among young people through skills development initiatives.

He criticizes the current MP for not securing projects and policies to support youth development, thereby exacerbating unemployment in the informal sector.

Sakara aims to reshape this situation by rallying support from individuals and organizations to enhance livelihoods in the constituency, aligning with his vision for its future.

Following the reception of 50 sewing machines aimed at enhancing skills development in the constituency from Ing. Dr. Clifford Braimah, Mr. Sakara urged the youth to actively engage in skills training.

“Being able to establish your own business after undergoing training is what can move this nation forward and we must endeavor to ensure that their full potentials are achieved.”

He praised Ing. Dr. Clifford for his ongoing support towards the progress of residents across all seven constituencies in the region.

“We have all benefited from your dedication, and I encourage you to continue your efforts,” he remarked.

Candidates running for office in their constituencies must conduct extensive campaigns to mobilize voters and foster trust in democracy and the political process.

The effectiveness of these candidates in conveying campaign messages, gaining voter support, educating them about the electoral process, and fostering enthusiasm and participation hinges largely on access to funds and resources.
