In his first public address following Election Night, former President Donald Trump praised Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as a “great mind” after naming him his choice for Health Secretary in a potential second term.

Trump, who has often aligned with anti-establishment figures, lauded RFK Jr.’s stance on vaccine skepticism, asserting that his leadership would focus on protecting Americans from harmful chemicals, pollutants, pesticides, pharmaceutical products, and food additives.

At his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, Trump celebrated what he sees as an impending return to the White House and criticized the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, calling for an immediate halt to the war. He told his supporters that ending the conflict was a key priority of his administration moving forward.

Trump also used the event to announce North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum as his pick for Interior Secretary, signaling a continued focus on energy and environmental issues.

Burgum, known for his strong support of the oil and gas industry, is expected to play a central role in shaping the administration’s energy policy.

However, the most controversial announcement was Trump’s nomination of Representative Matt Gaetz for Attorney General. The nomination has raised eyebrows within the Republican Party, particularly after a senior Republican senator called for a full investigation into alleged misconduct surrounding Gaetz.

These calls have intensified, with critics questioning Trump’s commitment to integrity in his cabinet choices.

As Trump continues to assert his dominance in the GOP, his picks for key positions signal a clear direction for his vision of governance, focusing on deregulation, questioning mainstream health policies, and toughening stances on law and order.
