Two students from Twifo Praso Senior High School have been arrested for allegedly leading a mob to attack a spiritualist who accused one of them of stealing a phone. The attack happened in Twifo Praso, Central Region.

The spiritualist, Abdul Latif, was asked by the students to help find a missing phone. After checking, Latif said one of the students had stolen it.

In retaliation, the accused student gathered about 10 people who ambushed and beat Latif severely on the evening of August 21, 2024.

They left him dead and tried to hide his body in a nearby bush.

The police later found Latif’s body and took it to the hospital for an autopsy.

The event has caused unrest in Twifo Praso, with some people threatening to retaliate against the school.

However, the police acted quickly to prevent more violence and keep order in the area.

Latif’s father, Yaw Nkrumah, mentioned that his son had been attacked by students from the school before but survived.

Sadly, this latest attack was fatal. The students involved are now in police custody as the investigation continues.
