In Wednesday night’s U-20 Women’s World Cup match in Bogotá, Brazil overcame an early deficit to defeat Cameroon 3-1.

Naomi Eto put Cameroon ahead with a close-range finish in the 22nd minute, increasing her goal tally in the tournament to four.

Brazil equalized with a penalty by Priscila 10 minutes before halftime. The score remained tied through the second half, leading to extra time. During the additional 30 minutes, Dudinha scored to give Brazil the lead, making it increasingly difficult for debutant Cameroon to recover.

As Cameroon pressed forward in search of an equalizer in the final moments of the game, Brazil capitalized on the opportunity, with Dudinha securing her second goal deep in stoppage time.

In other matches, hosts Colombia defeated South Korea 1-0, and defending champions Spain narrowly beat Canada 2-1. Jordynn Dudley’s extra-time goal sent the record-holding USA into the quarterfinals, as Mexico fell 3-2.
