Ghana’s embassy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in a statement said, the visa weave mutual agreement with the UAE is yet to take effect.
The embassy further explained that although Parliament has approved a memorandum of understanding between the United Arab Emirates and Ghana on mutual exemption of entry requirements and respect of diplomatic service, special and ordinary passport holders and process implementation are yet to be finalized.
This news came at the back of media report that indicates Ghana passport holders can now travel visa free to the UAE.
However, the embassy said, it will officially communicate any changes to the current visa entry requirements between Ghana and United Arab Emirates when that agreement is settled.
