R. Freuler opened the scoring for Switzerland in the 37th minute.
Early in the second half, R. Vargas scored a spectacular goal in the 46th minute. His goal is one of the best since the tournament began.
Italy tried all they good to put themselves into the game but their best wasn’t enough.
Switzerland advances to the quarter-finals, making Italy the first team to exit the UEFA Euro Cup.
