Kennedy Agyapong, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, has warned that Kintampo North will not receive any development projects from the Akufo-Addo-led government unless the constituents show their support by voting for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Agyapong, who is also Chairman of the Ghana Gas Company, stated that although he could facilitate the construction of astroturfs in Kintampo North, he has no plans to do so because the people have not acknowledged the NPP’s previous contributions.

He expressed frustration that despite the government appointing individuals from Kintampo North to high-ranking positions, such as the Controller and Accountant-General and a Director of the Ghana Immigration Service, the constituents continue to support the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“You don’t vote for NPP but you demand development, for the Astroturf, I am the Chairman of Ghana Gas and I easily get it done but I won’t allow them to build it for you because you people in Kintampo North don’t appreciate the things we do for you.

“Any time you ask for development, we provide it but you never vote for NPP but you rather vote for NDC. So I am telling all the Chiefs and party leaders here that if you don’t vote for NPP, we will not bring any developments here.”
