Tension Erupts at Ablekuma West Polling Station Over Alleged Food Distribution by MP Ursula Owusu-Ekuful
Chaos unfolded at the Assemblies of God Church polling station in the Ablekuma West Constituency, Greater Accra Region, following the distribution of breakfast allegedly linked to the incumbent MP, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful.

A pickup truck carrying food packs, reportedly intended for polling and electoral officials, was driven away amidst loud hooting from angry voters. The MP, contesting against the NDC’s Kweku Addo, has yet to comment on the incident.
The vehicle was moved away from the polling station and is now parked outside the voting center.
“We just brought food [breakfast] for our polling agents and EC officials, but the NDC members are asking us to take the vehicle out. The food is from Ursula Owusu. This shouldn’t create a problem because it’s not for voters,” Doris Boakye, a member of the NPP in Ablekuma West told Citi News.
Police are on the grounds to restore order.
