At the Seventh Ghana Female CEO Summit in Accra, Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, emphasized the need to support female business leaders and entrepreneurs to thrive under the digital revolution.
He urged women entrepreneurs to embrace technological tools for inclusivity and innovation, pledging the government’s commitment to creating a conducive digital environment for them to access financial resources and affordable data.

The summit united female business leaders and entrepreneurs to discuss leveraging digital revolution opportunities for business improvement and sustainable economic growth.
Dr. Bawumia underscored several government policies that have fostered a favorable environment for women in business, such as the introduction of the digital property address system, GhanaCard, paperless ports, mobile money interoperability payment system, and the Ghana.gov portal.
Vice President Bawumia, in his address, highlighted the unique position of female entrepreneurs in leading the digital transformation.
He stressed the importance of fostering inclusivity to thrive in the digital economy.
Additionally, he noted that women CEOs should lead the nation’s path towards its future.
Frema Akosua Osei-Opare, Ghana’s Chief of Staff, praised Glitz Africa for organizing the summit honoring the outstanding accomplishments of female business leaders and entrepreneurs in the country.
Osei-Opare highlighted the challenges faced by women in accessing financial resources and stressed the importance of supporting them in the digital era to ensure their success and fulfillment of their potential.
Ms. Claudia Kwarteng Lumor, CEO of Glitz Africa and the event’s organizer, emphasized that the summit offered women CEOs and entrepreneurs a distinctive platform for networking and strategizing to enhance their businesses.
