1) U.K. man implicated in Twitter hacking charged in NY with cryptocurrency theft
A U.K. man previously charged in the United States with involvement in the hacking of politicians’ and celebrities’ Twitter accounts was charged on Wednesday over a separate scheme resulting in the theft of $784,000 of cryptocurrency.
U.S. prosecutors in Manhattan said Joseph James O’Connor, 22, and his accomplices stole bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin after gaining control of victims’ cellphone numbers by linking them to subscriber identity module cards, or SIM cards. Charges against O’Connor include conspiracies to commit wire fraud and money laundering, each carrying a maximum 20-year prison term, as well as aggravated identity theft and conspiracy to commit computer hacking.

2) Health officials set to deploy coronavirus vaccine to every doorstep in the Western Region
Western Region Deputy Director of Public Health Dr. Gifty Amugi has disclosed that only 2 percent out of an eligible population of some 1,468,319 people in the region have received their second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.“What we are going to do now is that we ourselves will be moving out. We will set camp at lorry parks, markets, funerals and in fact places of mass gathering and do the vaccination. We are also encouraging companies, associations to put themselves together and call us and we will come to wherever they are and do the vaccination. And it is free of charge. 3) Phone repair nabbed for robbing phone shop and killing owner
The Eastern Regional Police Command has apprehended a 35-year-old man, Elisha Asante, a mobile phone repairer at Ekye Amanfo in the Kwahu Afram Plains South District of the Eastern Region for alleged armed robbery and murder.
The suspect was said to have in the company of others, robbed the phone shop of one Mr Samuel Agbozo and also killed Mr Bright Narh at Ekye Amanfrom on October 9, 2021. Two new Techno Camon and Infinix smartphones were retrieved from the repair shop of the suspect. The mobile handsets were suspected to have been those that were stolen from the shop of the victim, Mr Agbozo. DSP Tetteh said the suspect was currently in police custody assisting in investigations.

4) Actor Dwayne Johnson vows never to use real guns on set, following Baldwin tragedy
Hollywood actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson said he would not use real guns again in his movies after his friend and fellow actor Alec Baldwin accidentally shot and killed a cinematographer on a film set in New Mexico last month.
Johnson, who was out in Los Angeles attending the world premiere of his new Netflix blockbuster “Red Notice” with co-stars Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot, said his production company, Seven Bucks Productions, would “not use real guns ever again.”

5) UFC champion Kamaru Usman challenges boxer Canelo Alvarez to a crossover fight
Nigerian UFC champion, Kamaru Usman has proposed a crossover fight with boxer Canelo Alvarez after their fight cards in their respective sports this weekend. Usman will make the fifth defense of his welterweight title at UFC 268 in a rematch against rival Colby Covington.
Alvarez will fight undefeated Caleb Plant as the Mexican hopes to become the first-ever undisputed super-middleweight champion in boxing history. He told DAZN : “It only makes sense because we’re in an era to where people want to be entertained. In order for us to do that, this will be the greatest, the biggest event ever. The two pound-for-pound fighters in combat sports at the top of their prime to get in there and duke it out, I believe will be probably the biggest event ever.”
