1) NIA to rectify anomalies on 106,000 Ghana cards

The National Identification Authority, NIA, says it is rectifying anomalies detected on one hundred and six thousand Ghana Cards before issuing them to their rightful owners.

This came up after the Authority successfully solved a technical challenge it encountered two weeks ago.

Mr. Aboagye admitted that the Authority is faced with some challenges at its district offices, and the Authority has taken steps to resolve these issues.

2) Musk says Tesla to accept dogecoin for merchandise

Tesla Inc will accept meme-based cryptocurrency dogecoin as payment for its merchandise such as the “Giga Texas” belt buckle and mini models of electric vehicles, Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk said in a tweet on Friday.

The move, which sent dogecoin prices 14% higher, comes a month after Musk said Tesla would test out the digital token as a payment option.

3) N.Korean hackers stole $400 mln in cryptocurrency in 2021 – report

North Korea launched at least seven attacks on cryptocurrency platforms that extracted nearly $400 million worth of digital assets last year, one of its most successful years on record, blockchain analysis firm Chainalysis said in a new report.

“From 2020 to 2021, the number of North Korean-linked hacks jumped from four to seven, and the value extracted from these hacks grew by 40%,” said the report, which was released on Thursday.

“Once North Korea gained custody of the funds, they began a careful laundering process to cover up and cash out,” the report added.

4) Kanye’s newly found love, Julia Fox eyes Madonna role in upcoming biopic

Kanye West’s new girlfriend, actress Julia Fox, might be in the running to play Madonna in the superstar’s upcoming biopic which will chart her rise to stardom.

The Material Girl herself hinted at being in talks with Fox for the coveted role, sharing pictures with the 31-year-old Uncut Gems actress on her Instagram on Wednesday.

Posting candid images of herself and Fox from their night-out at Los Angeles restaurant Delilah, Madonna shared that the two had a ‘talk’ about her movie before being ‘other folks showed up’.

5) Guardiola confirms new COVID-19 cases at City ahead of Chelsea clash

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola said there are additional COVID-19 cases at the club following last week’s outbreak as they prepare to take on second-placed Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday.

Guardiola, who missed Friday’s 4-1 FA Cup third round victory over Swindon Town after returning a positive test, did not specify whether the new cases were among players or members of staff while the number of cases was also not mentioned.
